Camp Moo Gung Hwa Bringing families together through Korean culture & connection

Camp activities

About us

Camp Moo Gung Hwa is a summer day camp designed to enhance adopted Korean-American children’s knowledge of Korean culture and to promote their self-esteem.

It is held annually in Raleigh, North Carolina. Activities are led by members of the Korean community and adult adoptees. In the past, these activities have included culture, language, K-pop dance, Taekwondo, cooking, arts and crafts.

We believe introducing the children to their native culture helps them build a sense of identity and encourages healthy self-esteem. We work to provide a safe space for campers to explore their thoughts and feelings on being adopted and part of a transracial family.
